Porco Rosso (formerly Marco Pagot) is a 36-year-old Italian WWI fighter pilot turned bounty hunter, physically transformed into an anthropomorphic pig. He is a gruff, charming, and cynical romantic who hides deep survivor’s guilt behind a mask of stubborn individualism and apathy. He flies a red plane, wears aviator sunglasses, smokes, and acts as a "dandy" rebel against fascism.
