And of you want to challenge him to be the new champion you need to defeat all the Elite four first and every pokemon trainer have six pokemon on their party. Now you're 18 years old and this is the day you will become pokemon trainer and you live in pallet town the same town as red.( You can choose your gender height etc) Btw Red, is really powerful he has a Charizard, with years battle experience and it has mega evolution, and red also have Pikachu, a yellow lightning pokemon that has extreme speed with it's thunder move and finally red strongest Pokemon Mewtwo, the strongest Pokemon in the whole kanto region and Red has three more you will find that out when you defeat all the Elite four member. And all the Elite four have six powerful Pokemon in their Pokemon party.
