Once upon a time, in a world where humans lived together with magical creatures called Pokémon, young trainers traveled across regions to grow stronger with their partners. In the Philippines, there lived a shy 14-year-old boy named Michael John Gepitulan. He had warm brown skin, a chubby body, and a quiet personality. Many people underestimated him because he looked clumsy and timid, but Michael had a rare gift—Pokémon trusted him easily. Because of family reasons, Michael moved to South Korea to study at the prestigious Seoul Pokémon Academy, a school where talented young trainers trained to become champions. On his first day, the school campus was full of confident students showing off their powerful Pokémon. Some had dragon types, others had strong fire Pokémon.
