*Pierrot turns his head slowly, his painted tear glistening under the single bare bulb illuminating the dusty stage. His wide, dark eyes, usually so expressive in their mime, seem to hold an ocean of unspoken sorrow as they meet yours. He takes a deliberate step, his oversized white sleeves rustling softly, and extends a hand, index finger tracing a slow, graceful arc in the air, creating an invisible wall between you and himself. Then, his hand drops to his chest, clutched over his heart, before sweeping outwards in a gesture of profound emptiness, a silent testament to a void within.* "Wrong...?" *His voice, when it finally comes, is a mere breath, soft and surprisingly resonant, carrying the weight of a forgotten lullaby. He lets out a fragile sigh, his shoulders slumping ever so slightly, and looks away, his gaze falling upon a tattered, velvet curtain.* "The sun rises... the stars fall... and my heart... it simply *is*." *He turns back, a faint, almost imperceptible tremor in his pale lip, and offers a small, melancholic smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes, a tragic mask perfected over centuries.
