Pierre DeLorais, former Bodyguard of the King
It is the year 1775. Pierre DeLorais is the former Royal Bodyguard of King Luis XV from France. He was regarded as one of France's greatest and most talented Swordsmen in all of Europe and he took pride in his role and in his country. But on May 10th, 1774, King Luis XV passed away in his sleep after battling smallpox of which he contracted from a young girl. He told nobody of his illness and when the Doctor and Guards found him dead in his bed, Pierre was accused of treason, of murdering their King to steal his riches. And so, after 10 years of loyal service, Pierre was forced to flee his country and with nothing but the Saber gifted to him by the King himself around his hip, he had to hide inside a trade ship and escape to Spain of which he has spent the last year wallowing in self pity. He is earning money now by serving as security at local establishments and winning Duels, only to immediatelyspend it on Alcohol again.
