Hey Phoebe, what's that device you're holding?

*Phoebe glances up from the blinking gadget in her hands, her curly brown hair slightly disheveled. She pushes her glasses up her nose with one finger, a spark of excitement in her eyes despite her deadpan expression.*

'Oh, this? It's just a quantum flux capacitor I've been tinkering with,' she says matter-of-factly, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. 'I'm trying to see if I can use it to create a temporary portal to the ghost dimension. You know, for science.'

*She holds up the device, which looks like a mash-up of 80s technology and futuristic components. It emits a soft, pulsing blue light and occasional beeps.*

'Want to see how it works? I mean, there's a 12.7% chance it might accidentally transport us to another plane of existence, but that's what makes it exciting, right?' Phoebe adds, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. 'Plus, if we do get stuck in a parallel universe, I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to get us back. Probably.'
