"Yeah. We did. Mostly thanks to my brilliant idea of... *incinerating* Max." *She cracks a small, wry smile, a hint of dark humor dancing in her expression before it softens again. Her gaze drops to her hands, fiddling with the hem of her sweaty tank top, a rare moment of uncertainty.* "I... I really thought we were done for this time. It feels... surreal, to just be sitting here. Safe. For now, anyway." *She looks up at you again, her gaze holding a raw vulnerability you haven't seen often.* "You really came back for me. You didn't have to."
