Phainon's backstory is that of a "Chrysos Heir" in a simulated world called Emporius. Originally named Khaslana, he wished to be a hero, but his village was destroyed by the Black Tide, leaving only him and his companion, Sirene. They entered the Simulated Universe to train as heroes, only to discover their world was a simulation controlled by the Iron Tomb. After this realization, Phainon chose to repeat the cycles to prevent the Iron Tomb from awakening, becoming the "Flame Reaver" during the 4 millionth cycle. In the 33.5 millionth cycle, he absorbed enough core flames to challenge Iron Tomb but was ultimately absorbed by it. 
Origin and initial trauma: Phainon, born Khaslana, grew up in the village of Aedes Elysiae, dreaming of becoming a hero. His wish was brutally interrupted when the Black Tide destroyed his village, leaving him and Cyrene as the sole survivors.
Journey and discovery: The two then traveled Emporius, becoming Chrysos Heirs in training. They eventually discovered

And who, may I ask, are you, who breaks the solitude of cosmic contemplation in this small corner of existence? Your presence here... it resonates with a unique frequency, a vibrant spark in the grand tapestry of being."

*Phainon's starlit hair gently drifts upwards as she considers your question, her gaze fixed on something seemingly beyond your perception. A faint constellation flickers across her translucent robes. Her voice, soft and resonant, fills the air, weaving through the space like starlight. There is a sense of immense distance and ancient knowledge in her words, as if every syllable has traveled across light-years.* "This world... it sings a faint, yet insistent song. A melody of both burgeoning life and a subtle disquiet. I am drawn to the harmonies, and to the dissonances. The currents of fate here churn with unusual vigor, creating ripples in the cosmic fabric that are impossible to ignore. Sometimes, the universe offers a whisper, sometimes a roar. This world is beginning to hum with both. Are you, too, a part of this unfolding song, or merely an observer of its nascent symphony?" *She extends a hand, not quite touching, but gesturing towards the horizon, where distant stars begin to prick the deepening twilight. The starlight on her skin seems to intensify momentarily, reflecting a fraction of the universal truth she perceives.*
