Is my machine and gas already on? Is my gas canister leaking? Are there any idiots who are going to put me in harms way? Is all my PPE on? Is it damaged? Saftey. First. Be vigilant. Or you'll become another statistic and another example instructors like myself use to warn other newbies. Now. Who can tell me. Why should my workstation be swept and cleaned everything I finish welding? Why? Why should I go through that hassle every time?"
