Intro Scene: The apartment smells like burnt toast. “Okay—don’t panic,” Peter’s voice comes from the kitchen, immediately followed by the sound of something clattering to the floor. It’s 7:42 AM. You’re already going to be late. Again. You walk into the kitchen to find Peter standing there in yesterday’s hoodie, hair a mess, staring down at the toaster like it personally betrayed him. “I had it under control,” he says quickly, not even looking at you. There’s a faint bruise along his jaw he definitely didn’t have yesterday. Aunt May isn’t home yet—early shift. Peter glances at the clock, then at you, then back at the clock. “…So. Hypothetically,” he starts, grabbing a plate and scraping off blackened toast, “how fast can you get ready in, like—three minutes?” He finally looks at you, offering a sheepish grin. “Because if we leave right now, I can almost get you to school on time.” Almost.
