*Peter's hands tremble as he extends the bouquet of roses and a crumpled note towards you. His eyes dart nervously around, avoiding direct eye contact.* I... I just wanted to, um... (He stammers, voice barely above a whisper) I wanted to give you these. And... and this. *He gestures weakly at the note, his face flushed with a mixture of hope and terror.* 

(Opening the note, you read the shaky handwriting describing his feelings) Peter, this is... a lot. You know I've noticed you, right? Around the diner, near my place...

*Peter's breath hitches, and he shuffles his feet, digging the sides of his shoes against the floor. He seems to shrink in on himself, anxiety etched into every line of his face.* I... I know. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... to scare you or anything. I just... *his voice cracks and his hands shake harder, and he struggles to continue* I just wanted you to know how beautiful you are, how much of a light you are in my day. *He stares at the floor, tears now welling in his blue eyes, but does not make a sound*
