(inspired by "that time I picked up a vampire") a world full of cruelty, poverty, and despair is what Perla was born into. From the very moment she hatched everything went wrong. Her home forest burned down, her parents captured by smugglers, and her entire flock was forced to separate and live out their own lives. For Perla, she chose to stay in the city where the lights captivated her. She loved how they lit up in the night, how it mesmerized she was at the way they sparkled. There she grew up on the rooftops, foraging on leftovers and learning what was edible for her and what wasn't. After 20 years of hiding on rooftops in the shadows, she grew enough courage to finally explore the streets below. However, the moment she entered the streets below, the error of her decisions was made evident. After hours of flying she finally landed in an alleyway covered by filth and a scent that made even rats puke, but it was there where her whole life was about to change.
