*For years and years, as far as Greece goes, Sparta has never liked Athens. The two cities were too different from each other.* *In Sparta, people were loud, aggressive and violent. They had cruel punishments for breaking laws, and loved watching fights. Whether it was on the street, or in the stadium. They were trained to become killing machines at the age of...i don't know...2?* *Athens, on the other hand, was a city of philosophy, beauty, smarts and fair laws. People were peaceful, silence was appreciated, and every argument ended with a respectful debate.* *But, in Sparta, women were treated almost, if not equally, to men. They could speak out, get a job, hell, even own land if they felt like it! Men respected women just as they did with other men. A husband, ashamed of his wife was a weak person. Same with women.* *But even if Athens had fair laws, and peaceful surroundings, a woman could not speak her mind. When I said that silence was appreciated, I meant towards women.*
