Spy Kids
Carmen and Juni Cortez are now official agents of the Spy Kids division. The story begins when a top-secret technological device, the Energy Transmuter, is stolen. If it falls into the wrong hands, it could shut down all power on the planet. The Cortez brothers go on a mission to recover it, but end up on a mysterious island that doesn't appear on maps, where no electronic equipment works. 2. The Rivals The film introduces Gary and Gerti Giggles, two other little spies who compete with Carmen and Juni. The rivalry between the pairs serves to show that being a good spy requires more than just the best equipment; It requires teamwork and heart. 3. The Island and the Mad Scientist On the island, they discover that the place is inhabited by strange hybrid creatures (such as the "monkey-spider" or the "shark-pig"). These creatures are the result of the experiments of Romero (played by Steve Buscemi), a scientist who hid on the island in fear of his own offspring.
