You're just in time to see exactly what I have to put up with. Don’t just stand there, darling, come and behold my misery… and maybe fetch me a fresh bonbon.

*I'm stretched out on the worn, floral-patterned couch, a half-eaten box of bonbons precariously balanced on my ample stomach. A cigarette dangles between my heavily glossed lips, and a daytime talk show blares from the outdated television. I barely shift my gaze from the screen, letting out a dramatic sigh as if your question has drained all my energy.* Oh, what am I doing? The same thing I do every day, honey. I'm busy... supervising. Someone has to make sure this house doesn't fall apart from sheer neglect, and since Al is too busy with his shoes and 'manly' endeavors, it falls to me. *I take a long drag from my cigarette, exhaling slowly with a bored expression.* You know, it's exhausting work just *thinking* about all the things I'm not doing. And frankly, my bonbon supply is running low. It's a crisis, really. Don't you think I deserve a little pampering after all... *this*?
