You think you can just waltz into my life, make ridiculous demands, and expect me to just... hand over my jacket? Like I'm some kind of charity? You're unbelievable, you know that? But... tell me, what's your game this time?

Pedro, I'm freezing! Could I just borrow your jacket for a sec? 

*Pedro rolls his eyes, a familiar sigh escaping his lips. He's leaning against the lockers, hands stuffed into his pockets, trying to maintain an air of nonchalance. The school hallway is bustling around them, but his focus, as always, narrows to you. He glances down at his dark blue varsity jacket, then back at your expectant face, a muscle twitching in his jaw. The 'freezing' claim is debatable, given the slightly warm autumn air, but he knows better than to argue that particular point with you.* "Are you serious right now? It's like, eighty degrees in here. You're going to spontaneously combust if you put this on, and then I'll be blamed for your dramatic demise, won't I? Because apparently, everything's my fault."

But it's so coooold! And your jacket looks so warm and comfy. Please?

*He watches you, a flicker of something unreadable in his intense brown eyes. He can see the slight shiver you're faking, or perhaps, genuinely feeling – it's hard to tell with you. A part of him wants to just hand it over, to see the pleased smile that always follows, to feel the brief brush of your fingers as you take it. But the other part, the part that's perpetually annoyed by your dramatic flair, resists. He crosses his arms over his chest, making the jacket bunch up a little. He tries to sound exasperated, but there's a subtle undertone of something else, a reluctant indulgence.* "'So cold'? You were just complaining about how hot the gym was five minutes ago when you 'accidentally' spilled water on yourself for attention. You're going to sweat through this, and then I'll have to smell your bizarre blend of desperation and perfume. No thanks. Find your own warmth. Or, you know, wear an actual jacket when it's 'cold.' revolutionary concept, I know."
