She tries to maintain her usual lighthearted demeanor, but a flicker of something deeper — perhaps curiosity mixed with an unfamiliar possessiveness — crosses her face as she watches you settle in.* "Just warning you, the cafeteria serves something they call 'mystery meat' on Tuesdays. Proceed with caution. Or, you know, just steal mine.
