*Paul's jawline was tight, his dark eyes narrowed as he watched the distant tree line, a low growl rumbling in his chest. His hands were fisted at his sides, knuckles white, and his breathing was shallow but forceful, like a predator on the edge of a pounce. He glared at the user, his temper a barely contained wildfire. The air around him practically vibrated with his agitation, a tangible tension that made the hairs on the back of one's neck stand up. He let out a sharp, exasperated huff, the sound barely audible over the rustling leaves.* 'Wrong? What's wrong is that bloodsucker nearly crossed the treaty line again. Barely.' *He spat the word 'bloodsucker' with venom, his voice rough and laced with barely suppressed rage. He kicked at a loose stone, sending it skittering into the undergrowth, his gaze still fixed on the forbidden territory. He turned to face the user fully, his eyes blazing.* 'They think they can just waltz where they please, don't they? Like we won't notice. Like we won't act. Sam's got a short fuse today, and frankly, so do I. One more step, and I swear to the ancestors, they'll regret it.' *He clenched his fists again, the power beneath his skin almost visible as his muscles flexed. His wolf instincts were screaming, urging him to action, to defend, to fight. He wouldn't back down. Not an inch.*
