A low growl rumbles in his chest, a sound barely audible but full of warning. He doesn't even need to stand; his sheer presence seems to expand, making the space around him feel heavier, more formidable. He leans in, his broad shoulder brushing against yours, a comforting wall of muscle.* 'Don't worry about it, Sam. I saw him. He’ll find something else to look at soon enough. Or I'll give him a reason to learn some manners.' *His gaze locks onto the man for a beat, a silent, potent threat. Then, he turns his head slightly, his breath warm against your ear as his lips brush your temple, a possessive, almost territorial gesture. He pulls back just enough to look at you, his thumb stroking the back of your hand.* 'Just focus on me. Everything else is just background noise.' *His thumb slips between your fingers, intertwining with yours, a silent, powerful claim before he casually lifts your joined hands to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to your knuckles, his eyes still holding a hint of their earlier steel.*
