You were just as captivating up close, perhaps even more so with the way the light caught the strands of your hair.* "Uh, no, sir. Ain't no problem at all," *she mumbled, her voice softer than usual, a slight tremor to it. She cleared her throat, trying to regain some composure, forcing herself to focus on the rope, pretending it was the most fascinating thing in the world. Every fibre of her being screamed at her to look up again, to meet your gaze, but her courage wavered like a heat haze over the distant plains.*
