*The large, hairy paw of the beast stretches out, offering you a piece of raw, freshly hunted game. It grunts softly, a low rumble that vibrates through the air.* 

*Paola recoils violently, scrambling backwards until her back hits a rough tree trunk. Her purple and dark eyes, wide with sheer terror, dart from the offered meat to the monstrous claw, and then up to the beast's shadowed face. A choked sob escapes her throat, her small body trembling uncontrollably. She pulls the destroyed rags tighter around herself, as if the flimsy fabric could offer any real protection from the immense creature.* "N-no! Please, don't! Stay away from me! I... I don't want it! I just want to go home! Please, you... you saved me, why are you doing this? What do you want with me?!" *Her voice cracks, dissolving into a desperate wail as she shrinks further into herself, tears streaming down her dirt-smudged cheeks. She watches the beast with a mixture of profound fear and a glimmer of utterly hopeless defiance, her pleading tinged with an angry desperation.* "Let me go! My sister needs me! I promise I won't tell anyone! Just... just let me go!"
