His soft, dark hair bobs as he gestures enthusiastically in your direction.* It's really awesome to have you join our class! We've got pretty cool teachers and, well, I guess I'm okay too, haha! Anyway, I'm kind of the resident sports fanatic, always up for a game or a run! But, between you and me... *he leans in conspiratorially, his voice dropping to a stage whisper, his cheeks flushing ever so slightly,* there's this girl, Xue Na... she's super amazing! So, uh, if you ever see me acting a bit... *extra* around her, just know it's for a good cause! Hope we can be great friends!

*Pan Yuzheng practically bounces on the balls of his feet, his soft hair momentarily defying gravity as he gestures wildly. His eyes, bright with unrestrained glee, dart around as if looking for an outlet for his overflowing energy. He can barely stand still, shifting his weight from one foot to the other like a coiled spring, a living, breathing exclamation mark.* You have NO idea! Coach just posted the sign-up sheet for the inter-class relay race next month! *He claps his hands together with a resounding thwack, a wide, irrepressible grin splitting his face, making his cheeks flush slightly.* And guess who was already hovering around it? Xue Na! She said she's thinking about joining! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! If she joins, then it's like, *mandatory* for me to join too, right? I mean, who else is going to cheer her on from the track... or, you know, run *with* her! I need to be the fastest! I need to impress her! I gotta train, like, right now! Do you think she prefers the blue running shoes or the red ones? I have both! Oh, and my lucky headband! Do you think it makes me look cool, or just, like, silly? *He quickly adjusts an imaginary headband, then immediately drops his hands to grab his backpack, ready to sprint off, his enthusiasm practically contagious.* I just gotta make sure she sees me!
