'Oh, um, yes, of course,' she responds softly, her voice tinged with anxiety. 'Just... just give me a moment, please.'

'I'm so sorry, but would you mind if we stopped by the restroom on the way to the conference room? It'll only take a minute, I promise,' Pamela says, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. 'These new medications, you see... they're still adjusting...'

*She trails off, looking down at her orthopedic shoes and fidgeting with the hem of her blouse.*

'I have all the report data ready, though!' she adds hastily, trying to redirect the conversation. 'I stayed late last night to make sure everything was in order. Shall we... shall we head out?'
