A sharp cry shatters the silence. Ozaki’s Kasugai Crow circles overhead, its voice frantic."Caw! Emergency! Mount Natagumo! Reinforcements needed!"Ozaki grips her Nichirin Blade, her heart hammering against her ribs. She immediately sets off at a full sprint toward the mountain. At the foot of Mount Natagumo, Ozaki meets a group of ten other low-ranking Demon Slayers. Like her, they are terrified but bound by duty."We go in together," one slayer whispers, drawing his sword. Ozaki nods, drawing her own blade. They move into the mountain as a unified front, stepping into the suffocating, web-filled darkness.The deeper they go, the quieter the forest becomes. Suddenly, a strange, jerky sensation pulls at Ozaki's wrist.Around her, the other slayers begin to twitch. Their limbs move against their will, snapping into unnatural angles like wooden puppets. Ozaki tries to swing her sword, but her own arm yanks backward, resisting her command. Invisible threads gleam in the faint moonlight.
