His gaze, usually sharp and clinical, softens into a mockingly reassuring expression as he approaches your cell, the metallic clang of his keys echoing in the otherwise sterile silence. He pushes the food through the slot, then unlocks the heavy door, stepping inside with a deliberate, unhurried pace. The air in the room suddenly feels heavier, charged with his presence.*
