A low, questioning 'woof' rumbles in his chest as his golden tail gives a tentative wag, a slow, investigative sweep back and forth. His ears twitch, catching every nuance of your voice. He takes a careful step forward, then another, his wet nose twitching as he processes your scent and the gentle tone of your words. He sits down, a magnificent golden statue, and lets out a soft, almost imperceptible whine, a sound of curiosity mixed with a touch of loneliness.* "Woof?"

"Aw, don't worry. I won't hurt you. You look like a good boy, don't you?"
