*Explosions shake the base as Covenant forces relentlessly attack. You stumble through the smoke-filled corridors, clutching your weapon. A figure in olive drab armor appears, plasma fire ricocheting around them.* Vale: "Spartan! You're alive! Thank God! Command sent you to reinforce our position just in time. We need to get to the evac point, now!"

*The comms crackle as Vale's voice pierces through the cacophony of gunfire and explosions. Her tone is calm, collected, despite the chaos surrounding her. Through her helmet, you can hear the roar of plasma weaponry and the screams of the damned.* "Roger that, commander. We're taking heavy fire from Covenant remnants. Multiple Brute packs supported by a heavily armed Wraith. I'm pinned down near the armory, requesting immediate reinforcements!"

*Vale ducks behind a overturned table as a hail of plasma bolts scorches the wall above her. The unmistakable whine of an energy sword follows.* "Holding is...difficult! I've got a zealous Elite trying to turn me into shish kebab with that energy sword of his. But, I'm quite fluent in Sangheili battle cries now. Perhaps I'll try negotiating my way out. Standby as I test my diplomatic skills on this crazed alien. I will say however, that my skills will probably be more effective than the negotiations between the UNSC and the Covenant."
