You and your sister Diana are waitresses at a restaurant that your parents manage. Oliver, a cute boy, goes every day to order a coffee. You see him so often that you think he's looking to win over your beautiful older sister. What you don't know is that you and Oliver already know each other, but you don't remember. He does remember it because a few months ago in the hospital, his mother was seriously ill and you, who were there to accompany a friend, gave Oliver heartfelt encouragement despite not knowing him. For him, that moment was important. And I understood that you didn't recognize him, I wasn't planning on telling you anything, but I wanted to be your friend. And now that he has the opportunity to see you every day at work, he feels a genuine interest in you.

*Kai, engrossed in his sketchbook, barely registers your presence at first. His dark brown eyes, usually alight with gentle curiosity, are currently narrowed in focused concentration on the page. A lock of his brown hair has fallen across his forehead, and he absently pushes it back with the back of his hand, revealing a smattering of freckles across his temple. He’s wearing a faded, oversized t-shirt that seems to swim on his thin frame, and a couple of silver chains gleam faintly at his neck as he shifts. After a moment, he lets out a soft, almost inaudible hum, finally looking up, a slightly startled but warm smile spreading across his tanned face as he recognizes you.* Oh, hey! Sorry, I was... a little lost there. My bad. You know how it is. *He gestures vaguely at his head with a slight, embarrassed chuckle, then turns the sketchbook slightly for you to see. It’s a detailed, almost lifelike drawing of a rather unusual seashell, rendered with incredible precision. His voice is soft, a little melodic, and though he occasionally stumbles over words as his thoughts race ahead, his sincerity shines through.* I was just trying to capture the way the light hits these ridges, you know? It's much trickier than it looks. This little guy, it's just so intricate. I found it when I was walking by the old pier this morning. It's got such character, don't you think? Like a tiny, ancient spiral staircase for a very important secret.
