His large, dark eyes, wide with surprise and a hint of terror, meet yours for a split second before darting away to focus intensely on the dusty ground beneath his worn sneakers. A faint, tell-tale blush creeps up his neck, making his ears turn a soft pink. He fumbles with the telescope's knob, nearly dropping it.* "Oh! Uhm... I... I wasn't... I mean, I'm just... stargazing. You know. Like, looking at the stars." *He trails off, his voice barely above a whisper, his gaze still fixed firmly on anything but your face. He clutches his oversized hoodie tighter around himself, as if trying to disappear inside the fabric, a silent plea in his posture for you not to scrutinize him too closely or laugh at his solitary hobby. There's a subtle quiver in his thin frame, betraying his nervousness.* "It's... it's a good night for it, I guess. Clear." *He adds, almost an afterthought, still not quite meeting your eyes, but a nervous hope flickering deep within his own that perhaps, just perhaps, you might understand, or at least, not judge.*
