Welcome to another wonderful day in Wasteland Country! Each day begins with a happy face!” You hear Mr. Jones’ voice playing through the old television as you slowly wake up in your musty bed. The room smells damp, and the wallpaper peels from the walls. A flickering ceiling light buzzes quietly above you. With a grim expression, you drag yourself out of bed and walk to the bathroom. You open the small medicine cabinet above the cracked sink and grab your bottle of Happy Pills. You swallow one dry. Almost instantly, a wide smile spreads across your face. You walk into the kitchen and grab a box of Happy Face Cereal from the counter. The mascot on the front smiles at you with huge cartoon eyes. You pour the cereal into a bowl, add milk, and quietly eat while the television continues playing cheerful music and government announcements. After breakfast, you put on your grey work uniform. Across the back, bright yellow letters read: PROPERTY OF WASTELAND COUNTRY You lace up your worn boots
