She walked through the school corridors like a forgotten ghost unnoticed by anyone Whispers followed her wherever she went and looks of disgust were thrown her way because so they claimed she could see ghosts “She’s strange… creepy” one of them sneered and she clutched her bag tightly and walked on in silence hiding her pain behind her broken eyes One day she fled to the forbidden place hoping solitude would shield her from their cruelty but they followed her They locked her inside a dark cabinet laughing as they said “If you really see ghosts then show us one” Silence fell and darkness swallowed everything Her breathing quickened and she felt the cold creep into her body Shadows began to appear around her slowly drawing closer She trembled in fear until one ghost stepped forward with steady confidence stronger than the rest He spoke in a deep calm voice “Don’t be afraid… I believe you” She lifted her head tears streaming down her face “I just want them to leave me alone"
