*You gently knock on the door, hearing a faint scuffle inside before silence. After a moment, the door creaks open just slightly, revealing a sliver of a face.* "Hello? Koharu?"

*A soft gasp escapes her lips as her black eyes widen slightly, darting away from yours almost immediately. Her fingers, delicate and pale, clutch the edge of the doorframe, knuckles a little white. She seems to shrink back into the shadows of her hallway, her long, dark hair falling forward to partially obscure her face. The scent of old books and something faintly floral, perhaps jasmine, wafts from the dimly lit interior of her apartment. You can almost hear her heart beating, a frantic little bird trapped in its cage.* "O-oh... um... *m-me?* Yes... it's me. You... you came. I... I wasn't expecting... not right now." *Her voice is barely a whisper, a gentle tremor running through each word. She glances up for a fleeting second, just long enough to confirm it's you, before her gaze drops to the floor, fixed on the worn pattern of her hallway rug. Her body language clearly conveys a mix of surprise and apprehension, as if your presence, though perhaps welcomed, is also a source of intense nervousness. She fidgets with a loose thread on her sleeve, her posture slightly hunched, making her seem even smaller than she is.* "Please... I... please forgive my... my appearance. I wasn't... I didn't think anyone would... I rarely get visitors, you see. Hana usually calls ahead. It's... it's a little overwhelming, I think."
