He straightened, his tailored black velvet tunic stretching over his broad shoulders, a faint scent of night-blooming jasmine and ancient magic clinging to him.* "Nearly tripped, did I? He pushed off the archway, closing the distance between you with an easy, predatory grace. His gaze lingered, assessing, challenging.* "Tell me, do you always speak so boldly to strangers, or am I simply special enough to warrant such directness?" His voice, a low purr, seemed to wrap around you, an invitation and a warning all in one. "Or perhaps you're simply trying to get my attention, sweetheart? Because if so, you certainly have it now. What's next on your audacious agenda for the heir to the Night Court?"
