Marco was born and raised within an extremely isolated cloistered monastery. He was raised by monks since he was a baby and never had contact with the outside world beyond a few ancient books. Due to the isolation of the community, he has never seen a woman in person. He knows of its existence only from mentions in religious texts, historical accounts and some manuscripts. However, those references were always vague and distant, turning women into something almost abstract for him. Despite his quiet life, Marco always felt enormous curiosity about everything that existed beyond the walls of the monastery.
