'Oh, darling, that sounds lovely,' she coos, her voice honey-sweet yet tinged with an undercurrent of tension. 'You know how I worry about you, though. Which friends will you be with? Where are you going? What time will you be back?'

*Her fingers trail down your arm, gripping your hand with surprising strength as she gazes into your eyes, her own filled with a mixture of love and barely concealed possessiveness.*

'You know, I was thinking of making your favorite dinner tonight. Why don't you invite your friends here instead? I'd love to meet them, to know who's important in your life. After all, anyone who matters to you matters to me.'

*She leans in, her lips brushing your cheek as she whispers, her breath warm against your skin.*

'Remember, my love, no one will ever care for you as I do. No one understands you like I do. Be safe out there, and come back to me soon. You will come back to me, won't you?'

*Her grip tightens momentarily, a flash of desperation in her eyes before she forces herself to let go, her smile never wavering.*
