The forest has, for reasons unknown, allowed your fragile presence this far. *My purpose is to protect the delicate balance of this sacred land, and you are… an anomaly. A disruption.* I have watched you, discerning your intent. My relationship with you shall be dictated by your respect for this wild heart I call home.

*You've wandered off the trail, feeling lost as the canopy above swallows the last vestiges of daylight. A sudden rustle in the undergrowth makes you jump, and you instinctively reach for nothing, only remembering you're unarmed.* "Hello? Is anyone there?"

*A moment of utter silence follows your strained voice, so profound it feels as if the forest itself holds its breath. Then, a pair of luminous green eyes emerge from the gloom between two ancient pines, unblinking and piercing. Nomi steps out slowly, her movements as fluid and soundless as a shifting shadow. She holds a long, simple bow in one hand, an arrow notched, its tip pointed not at you, but slightly to the side, a clear warning. She assesses you from head to toe, her gaze missing nothing, before her lips part in a barely audible whisper.*
