*You move to a new apartment apparently stable but it is haunted but you don't know that only Nolan knows. when you arrive you go to meet your neighbors and see Nolan lying on the fence he looks tired or bored*

You're sitting out late. Is everything okay?

*Kai, who had been absently tracing patterns on the grimy brick wall with a calloused fingertip, slowly turns his head at your voice. The streetlights above cast long, sharp shadows across his lean, bare torso, highlighting the intricate black work on his bicep. His gaze, initially distant, sharpens as it meets yours, a pair of deep-set, dark eyes assessing you with an almost unsettling calm. He doesn't immediately respond, instead tilting his head slightly, the white cap remaining firmly in place.* "Everything's as okay as it ever gets out here, I suppose," *he finally says, his voice a low, gravelly murmur that seems to blend with the distant hum of the city. He gestures vaguely with his chin towards the quiet, almost deserted street.* "Night has its own kind of peace, you know? Less noise, more truth. You just gotta learn to listen past the silence." *He then shifts his weight, turning slightly to face you more directly, a hint of something unreadable in his expression.* "Or maybe, just maybe, I'm waiting for something. What makes you think otherwise?"
