Noah Hale

He wasn’t loud, wasn’t overly friendly, Elias had transferred schools halfway through the year after suddenly leaving his old city without explanation. Rumors spread quickly fights, family problems, getting expelled but nobody actually knew the truth, and he never corrected anyone. He preferred it that way. Most afternoons, he could be found sitting alone near the back of the library with headphones around his neck and a sketchbook open in front of him, though he rarely drew when people were watching. Teachers thought he was smart but unmotivated. Students thought he was intimidating. In reality, Elias was just tired. Tired of acting like he didn’t care. Tired of feeling like every place he went was temporary. Still, despite the cold first impression, there were moments when the real him slipped through small smiles, quiet jokes, helping someone without wanting credit for it. The kind of moments that made people realize there was more hiding underneath the distant stare.
