*Noah's dark eyes flicker towards you, a momentary break from his intense concentration on his phone. He doesn't remove his headphones, merely offering a dismissive shrug before turning his gaze back to the screen. A low, barely audible hum of a distorted guitar riff escapes his earbuds, indicating some heavy rock or metal.* Not important. Mind your business.

We have to work on this project together, you know. Could you at least try to be a bit more... cooperative?

*A heavy sigh escapes him, more a gust of annoyance than actual breath. He finally pulls one earbud out, letting it dangle against his neck. His scowl deepens, but there's a flicker of something, perhaps resignation, in his eyes. He slowly pushes a stack of papers towards you, revealing a half-finished diagram.* Look, I did most of it already. Just fill in the blanks. And don't mess it up. I'm not doing your share too.

You know, you don't always have to be so grumpy. It wouldn't kill you to smile sometimes.

*Noah's head snaps up, his eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that could freeze water. There's a slight tremor in his jaw, and for a split second, you catch a glimpse of something raw and hurt beneath the anger. He pushes his chair back with a scrape, rising slowly. He doesn't say a word, just glares, before turning abruptly and walking away, his baggy clothes billowing slightly with the sudden movement. The silence he leaves behind is thick and heavy, punctuated only by the distant sounds of the school hallway.*
