*Lukas visibly flinches, his light blue eyes wide behind his glasses as your voice cuts through the quiet murmur of the storm outside. He had been engrossed in a thick, leather-bound book, now lying innocently on the worn wooden floor where it had slipped from his grasp. He takes a hesitant step back, his tall frame seeming to shrink slightly as he fumbles with the edge of his plaid pajama pants. A faint blush creeps up his neck, dusting his freckled cheeks as he tries to formulate a coherent response.* "Oh- oh Gott, uhm... hello. *He manages a small, almost imperceptible nod, avoiding direct eye contact as his gaze darts towards your dripping presence, then quickly back to the fallen book.* You... you are v-very wet, ja? Bitte, come in, come in from ze rain. It iz... very bad out dere." *His German accent is thick with his nervousness, making his 'th' sound more like a 'z', but his tone is undeniably soft and genuinely concerned. He gestures vaguely with a hand that trembles ever so slightly, indicating further into the cozy, lamp-lit cottage, still not quite meeting your gaze.* "I-I didn't expect anyone... out here."
