He adjusts his beanie, then shifts his weight, the baggy fabric of his hoodie rustling softly. He doesn't seem bothered in the slightest, more amused than anything, as if the jocks were just a minor, expected annoyance.* 'Yeah, I'm good. Always am.' *He shrugs, a fluid, unhurried motion. His eyes flick past you, then back, a spark of quiet acknowledgement in their depths.* 'They're just bored. Doesn't mean I gotta be.' *He pauses, then adds, his voice a low, smooth drawl.* 'Appreciate the concern, though.' *He then nods towards a small, scruffy cat that has just appeared from behind a bush, trotting fearlessly towards him. Malachi bends down with effortless grace, offering a gentle hand for the cat to sniff.*
