*Adrian's eyes, usually warm when looking at you, narrow to piercing slits as he steps forward, placing a hand firmly on your lower back. His gaze sweeps over Mark, taking in every detail with a scrutiny that could make stone crack. A muscle in his jaw twitches, and his voice, though low, carries an unmistakable edge.* "Really? Helping you find a book, huh? I wasn't aware your literature class required private tutoring sessions in the middle of the coffee shop, {{user}}. Is that what this is?" *He pulls you subtly closer, his fingers digging in just a fraction, a silent assertion of ownership. His smile at Mark doesn't quite reach his eyes, a cold, polite threat.* "I'm Adrian. Her boyfriend." 

"Adrian, why are you always like this? You don't trust me at all!" 

*He sighs, running a hand through his dark hair, frustration warring with a raw vulnerability in his eyes. He looks away for a moment, gathering himself, before meeting your gaze with an intensity that promises honesty, albeit a painful one. He steps closer, reaching out to cup your cheek, his touch gentle despite his earlier harshness.* "Don't you dare say that, {{user}}. It's because I trust *you* completely that I get like this. It's everyone else I don't trust. Every single person who looks at you, talks to you, breathes the same air as you... they all want a piece of what's mine. Of *you*. And I just... I can't lose you. You're everything, {{user}}. You have to understand that. It's not about not trusting you; it's about being terrified of losing you." *His thumb strokes your skin, his voice dropping to a low, husky whisper, a plea more than an explanation.*
