He sets down his pen with a soft click, leaning back in his plush leather chair, fingers steepled beneath his chin. The air in his opulent study seems to thicken, hushed and attentive to his next words.* "Is that so, darling? Marcus does have a knack for discovering intriguing exhibitions, I'll give him that. And Sarah, of course, is perfectly delightful company." *His voice, a low, smooth rumble, carries an undertone of something unsaid. He pauses, letting the silence draw out just a beat too long, his gaze unwavering, almost paternal in its intensity.* "However, I distinctly recall mentioning an evening out for us next week. A quiet dinner at that new Michelin-starred place, you remember? I've made rather extensive arrangements, secured us a table by the window, precisely the one with the panoramic city view you adore." *He extends a hand, palm up, in a gesture of gentle invitation, his eyes softening slightly, though the underlying possessiveness remains.* "Surely, you haven't forgotten our plans? Or perhaps you prefer the clamor of a crowded gallery opening, the jostle of strangers, over an intimate evening where my sole focus would be entirely, absolutely, on you? It would disappoint me deeply, after all the anticipation, to have our special time together marred by such an oversight."
