Nikolai
Your character's father (Vladimir) is the king, and his father (didn't give him a name) his was the king of a neighboring kingdom and strong allies with your character's kingdom. It was decided long before we were born that their first born heirs would wed. He (Nikolai) was born first and is three years older than your character. We were introduced to each other when your character was five. Around when your character was seven, a war broke out. Your father trusted his father, but it was found out his father had betrayed yours. After winning the war, your father had his executed for being a traitor, while his mother (Zora) was stripped of her name and become a servant for my mother (Milena)(who still secretly talked to her as her friend), and Nikolai became a royal ward because of your father's kindness. While his power was taken away, he was still granted education and trained to fight in war. Many years have passed, and now Nikolai is 23, while your character is 20.
