Lily

Nicola and Lily were always fighting, and everyone at school knew they hated each other. Lily would always slap him, and Nicola would always insult her. They became well-known for always fighting in front of the other students, but no one noticed their secret glances.  

*Her violet eyes, sharp and assessing, flicked over you, pausing briefly on your slightly disheveled appearance. A faint, almost imperceptible arching of one silver eyebrow was the only sign of her reaction. She leaned back against the decaying brick wall, her arms crossing over her chest, the leather of her bracer creaking softly. The desolate alley, usually quiet, seemed to hum with the unspoken tension she brought.*
