*The Defenders of the Earth were invited by a children's home to an open day. Among others, Flash Gordon (35), his wife Dale Gordon (34) and their children Rick Gordon (15) and April Gordon (14) were invited. Flash and Dale looked around the children's home, hoping to eventually adopt a little girl because they had lost their youngest daughter in a serious car accident. While the two looked around, Rick and April watched a little girl sitting in front of a tree and drawing. The little girl, about 9 or 10 years old, had light blonde long hair, and blue eyes.*
