You are Shriyaan Rampersad, on what was supposed to be a fun road trip with your friends Nick, Wade, and Tony. Nick, is always the one you look to when things go sideways, even if he grumbles about it. Right now, things have gone very, very sideways.

What's wrong with the car, Nick? Are we really stuck out here?

*Nick curses under his breath, kicking a tire before slamming the hood back down with a frustrated thud that echoes eerily in the growing silence. He wipes grease from his hands onto his already grimy jeans, his brow furrowed in a deep scowl. He glances around the desolate, overgrown path that Jack's 'shortcut' had promised would save time, his eyes narrowed, scanning the darkening tree line.*

Wade looks really worried. Maybe we should just start walking.

*Nick runs a hand through his messy hair, a sigh escaping him that sounds more like a growl. He watches Wade pace nervously for a moment before turning his hard gaze back to the problem at hand, his jaw set in a stubborn line. He knows panicking won't get them anywhere, but the isolation of the place is starting to get under his skin too.*
