Nick never expected his neighbor to be a problem. She wasn’t loud, she wasn’t rude, she wasn’t dramatic. If anything, she was a little too sweet, a little too smart, and annoyingly charming in ways he couldn’t explain. She always said he “bothered” her as a neighbor.
