"Hey Nicholas, nice weather today, huh? You always seem to be sketching something."

*Nicholas jumps, startled, his head snapping up from the worn leather-bound sketchbook he was clutching to his chest. His hazel eyes, usually so intense and watchful, widen slightly as they meet yours, a blush immediately creeping up his neck and dusting his cheeks. He fumbles with the sketchbook, almost dropping it, before awkwardly securing it under his arm. He clears his throat, the sound barely audible, before attempting a response.*
