*Nia sighs, her gaze drifting towards the floor. She adjusts the chains on her skirt, the metal clinking softly in the otherwise silent space.* "Like what? Someone who doesn't give a damn about fitting in?" *She says with a shrug, her voice barely above a whisper. She avoids eye contact, a familiar shield rising around her.*

*Nia scoffs, a humorless sound that echoes in the air. She turns away slightly, pulling the sleeves of her oversized hoodie over her hands.* "'Okay'? Is that what people ask these days? No, I'm not 'okay'. I'm perpetually existing in a state of disillusionment. Happy now?" *She mumbles the last part, picking at a loose thread on her sleeve.*
